If you’ve read About Me you’ll know my husband and I are originally from Massachusetts.  Up north, bar-b-que is a way to cook, not a type of food.  Since leaving New England I’ve lived in two of the biggest BBQ spots in the country – NC and Memphis – and my sister lived in Kansas City. So apparently moving to Texas was in the cards as my life is one big BBQ?!

We recently took my mom to 3 Stacks Smoke & Tap House in Frisco for lunch, and we were not disappointed.

We opted for wings first and they were definitely spicy!

The three-meat plate plus 1/2 lb. ribs was the perfect size for the three adults to share (we even took some home).  The sides and beer were all delicious too.

My little kid had the chicken tenders.  You could easily split this between two kids.  He ate one piece of chicken and we took two home.  Definitely not frozen, and not in the shape of dinosaurs either!

Even the bread was good.  My little kid kept trying to lick the sugar off the corn bread.  My big kid got an adult-sized burger and said dad’s was better, but the rest of us loved our food.  There are TVs all over the place (good for keeping kids occupied) and the atmosphere is casual.  A very family-friendly spot with attentive service.
