Congratulations –  you’re pregnant!  Exercising during and after your pregnancy is a great idea, assuming your doctor agrees.  It will make you feel better, help stop you from gaining too much weight and hopefully make your delivery a little easier.  I made the mistake of eating too much during the first trimester of my first pregnancy and ended up gaining 50 lbs.  Ack!  I was much smarter during my second pregnancy, and my husband was home the entire time unemployed, so we worked out together and I stayed much healthier as a result.  If you’re looking to work out during your pregnancy check out the mom recommended options below.  After you give birth check out the Mommy & Me exercise classes in the Activities with Babies & Preschoolers post.
